Hannah & James’ Cardiff Wedding: St Michael’s Church & Norwegian Church Arts Centre
Hannah and James’ wedding was one of those perfect Cardiff days—blue skies, golden light, and a whole lot of love. From a heartfelt ceremony at St Michael’s Church to a waterfront reception at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre, every moment was a dream to capture. And with a sunset over Cardiff Bay and a night shoot at the Millennium Centre, we made the most of this incredible city’s beauty.

Bridal Prep at Home & A Classic Car Arrival
The morning started at Hannah’s family home, filled with the happy calm of bridal prep. Between the laughter, the final touches, and a few emotional moments, she stepped into her dress looking absolutely radiant. Outside, a stunning classic car was waiting to take her to the church—a beautiful vintage touch to an already timeless day.

A Meaningful Ceremony at St Michael’s Church
St Michael’s Church provided the most picturesque backdrop for their vows. With light streaming through the stained glass and the sound of heartfelt readings filling the space, it was a ceremony full of love and emotion. After a confetti-filled exit, we took a moment for some relaxed portraits before heading to the next stop—Cardiff Bay.

A Waterfront Celebration at Norwegian Church Arts Centre
Nestled on the edge of Cardiff Bay, the Norwegian Church Arts Centre was the perfect reception venue for Hannah and James. The bright, airy space, combined with their personal touches, created a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace, soaking up the sunshine and waterfront views while the newlyweds shared their first moments as husband and wife.

Sunset & Night Portraits: Cardiff Bay at its Best
IAs the sun dipped lower, we took full advantage of Cardiff Bay’s golden hour magic. The reflections on the water, the warm glow of the setting sun—it was pure perfection. And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any more cinematic, we headed to the Millennium Centre for some iconic night portraits. The dramatic lighting, the bold architecture, and the city lights made for a breathtaking end to an unforgettable wedding.

The History of The Norwegian Church Arts Centre
The Norwegian Church Arts Centre is one of Cardiff Bay’s most distinctive landmarks, with a rich history tied to the city’s maritime past. Originally built in 1868, it served as a seafarers’ church for Norwegian sailors who passed through Cardiff when it was one of the world’s busiest ports.
The church became a cultural hub for the growing Norwegian community, with famous children’s author Roald Dahl—whose parents were Norwegian—among its notable attendees. However, as Cardiff’s coal industry declined, the church fell into disrepair.
In the 1980s, a major campaign led to its relocation and restoration, and in 1992, it was reopened as an arts centre and café, celebrating its Scandinavian heritage while serving as a vibrant venue for weddings, exhibitions, and performances. Today, it stands as a stunning reminder of Cardiff’s international history, offering breathtaking waterfront views and a unique space for couples to tie the knot.
