A Ceremony Filled with Meaning
With Covid restrictions still shaping weddings at the time, their guest list was small, but the love in the room was immeasurable. The ceremony was held in one of Insole Court’s beautiful rooms, surrounded by soft light, historic charm, and the people who mattered most. As they exchanged vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

A Relaxed Celebration with Closest Loved Ones
After the ceremony, we made the most of Insole Court’s stunning gardens—a perfect spot for relaxed, heartfelt portraits. The atmosphere was wonderfully calm, allowing Gemma and Lloyd to truly soak in their first moments as a married couple. Instead of a huge party, they chose an elegant, intimate reception, proving that a wedding doesn’t need to be big to be full of love.

The History of Insole Court
Insole Court is a stunning Victorian mansion in Cardiff, originally built in the mid-19th century by the wealthy Insole family, who made their fortune in the coal industry. Over the years, the house saw lavish expansions, becoming a grand example of Gothic and French Renaissance architecture. However, as the coal industry declined, so did the family’s fortune, and the estate eventually fell into disrepair. After years of restoration, Insole Court was saved and transformed into a community arts and heritage centre, now serving as one of Cardiff’s most beautiful and historic wedding venues.
